Houses

Hobby, Lanner and Peregrine

The three "houses" to which the children belong are Hobby (yellow), Lanner (red) and Peregrine (blue). The names are derived from species of falcon; the falcon being the school emblem.

Somerset House runs an inter-house competition annually.  The houses are led by House Captains and Cheerleaders who are elected from the Grade 7 pupil body.  Houses accumulate points throughout the year.  Their goal is to win the Midgely Shield, the inter-house floating shield.
