The Guild

The Guild: Parents Association

All members of Somerset House, pupils and staff, past and present, parents and friends belong to the Guild. Led by a group of enthusiastic parents who serve on a Committee, the Guild organises a variety of social occasions and functions which not only raise funds for the school but also help to create unity among the members of the school family. The Guild also serves to keep the communication between parents and teachers open and serves as the “voice of the parents”. Every year in June the Guild hold their Annual General Meeting and those parents present elect a new Committee at this time.

Golf Day 2008 - Message from the Guild Committee

" A HUGE big thank you to all our fantastic parents, sponsors, supporters and well wishers! Not only did we have the perfect weather for Friday’s Golf Day, but we managed to raise the immense amount of R165 500 for our very special school! This fantastic result would not have been possible without the help of each and every one of you, who make up this incredible school family and community. THANK YOU!"
